August Newsletter: Spay/Neuter Event + Pups on Trucks Update

August Newsletter: Spay/Neuter Event + Pups on Trucks Update

If you missed the announcement yesterday on Facebook, we are hosting a low-cost spay and neuter event with Laurel’s House!

It will be August 23, in New Caney, Texas, and we have already had a huge amount of interest shown in this event. Once our volunteers are able to get through yesterday’s inquiries, we do expect appointments to be FULL. This shows just how many in our area are in need of an affordable spay and neuter option.

Pups on Trucks Update: Six of our pups went north to Idaho in early July. Through generous donations on Facebook and our newsletter readers, we managed to raise almost exactly what was needed to cover all costs!

It’s been almost a month since they left our volunteers’ hands and we have good news to report… They have all been adopted! Jimmy (black pup) didn’t even make the website after waiting many months here in Texas without any applications. Francis who had waited for 10 months here in Texas, quickly adopted. Thank you to everyone who helped them on their way, you truly changed their lives!

Foster Feature: MAMA

Mama is a very sweet and gentle girl. She loves to run and jump and play. She would probably be good at an agility course. She can leap tall buildings in a single bound! She needs a yard with at least a 6 foot fence as she can jump a 5-foot one. She shouldn’t be in a home with cats as she loves to chase them, and would need to be properly introduced to new dogs. Mama is house and crate trained and walks well on a leash. She loves car rides and hugs. She will bark to let people know she is on duty and protective of her home otherwise not a lot of barking.
