Hello OPA Family! Can you believe it’s already December?
As the year comes to a close, we’re thrilled to announce that for the second year in a row, generous donors have stepped forward to match donations received through the end of the year in our End of Year Fundraiser—this time up to $20,000! That means if we raise $20,000, it will be doubled to an incredible $40,000.
Last year, thanks to your amazing generosity, this fundraiser raised nearly $35,000, which helped Operation Pets Alive cover critical expenses and finish the year financially stable. With your support, we can surpass that success this year!
If you or someone you know would like to add to our matching fund, we’d love to hear from you! Together, we can achieve something extraordinary for the animals who need us most.

A Heartfelt Thank You for Giving Tuesday
On Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that started in 2012, our supporters came through in a big way! Our initial goal was smashed and with your incredible enthusiasm, we raised the bar to $10,000. By the end of the day, website donations alone exceeded $12,000! Final totals, including checks, employer matching, and social media contributions, are still coming in—but one thing is clear: our community showed up in an extraordinary way for the animals in need.
We are truly grateful to each and every one of you who contributed. Your generosity ensures we can continue providing second chances for homeless animals throughout Montgomery County.
COCO CLASSIC 2024: A Grand Slam Success
The results are in, and this year’s Coco Classic Tennis Tournament was a huge success, raising an incredible $12,000 to support Operation Pets Alive! Thanks to the dedication of our amazing committee and volunteers, the event exceeded expectations, with perfect weather, enthusiastic participants, and glowing feedback from attendees. We’re already planning for next year, and it’s going to be even bigger—with the addition of pickleball!
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this incredible event (including our sponsors who you’ll see specials inserts from). We couldn’t have done it without you! A special thank you to Katrina Cassidy and family for championing this event in honor of their beautiful Coco.

Foster Feature: Bella Nova
Come meet this beautiful girl at PetSmart in the Portofino Shopping Center, TOMORROW!
Bella Nova is a big-hearted girl with a tough past. This sweet pup was found abandoned in an empty house just before the freeze earlier this year. Despite her rough beginning, Bella Nova hasn’t let it dim her loving spirit.
This cuddly girl adores people of all ages and is wonderful with kids. She’s a relaxed, easygoing boxer mix who’s happiest lounging on the couch and soaking up love. Potty trained and crate trained, Bella Nova is the perfect mix of sweet and low-maintenance. She’s a loyal girl who wants to be the center of attention and would thrive in a home where she can be the one-and-only princess. While she’s sometimes selective about her canine friends, her loyalty and love for her people are unmatched.
Bella Nova is approximately 7 years old and under 60 pounds. Interested in meeting or adopting her? Submit an application on our website (no obligation to adopt) with her name and ID D240106: https://operationpetsalive.org/programs/adopt/
Not looking to adopt, but ready to open your home for a short time to an animal in need? Please TEXT Rebecca at 254-317-6132 or email rebecca@operationpetsalive.org if you can foster. Whether it’s a dog or cat, we have an animal you can help today! Unsure? Learn more about fostering with OPA by clicking here.
If you’d like to help more animals like Bella Nova, please consider donating to Operation Pets Alive via our website:
