February 22, saw our first transport of the year! We are so thankful to our transport team, our fosters, and our transport partners for helping us get the transport program back into swing for 2024! We are now needing to fundraise for our second transport of 10 puppies, slated for March 7. Can you help?
February 2024 Transport
Last week we said adiós to 12 beautiful dogs and puppies and sent them on their way with AJC Rescue & Transport to our great friends at New Hampshire Humane Society in the stunning town of Laconia, New Hampshire!
Many thanks to our wonderful fosters for investing their love, time and efforts into these deserving puppers! If you want to help us make more transports like this happen, please consider donating to our next transport going to New Hampshire! We need a little over $1 per mile to cover our upfront costs for 10 puppies.
Fosters Needed
We are always in need of fosters. Short-term, long-term, vacation, medical, puppy/kitten, pregnant mom. We have a little for whatever your foster situation can permit. Here are a few of foster program residents that need a foster to help them until they find their forever homes:
Mizai is a 4-year-old male who is neutered and UTD on all vaccinations. Just look how cute this sleepy boy is!
Tuxley, formerly known as Reggie D230338, has been returned to due to a change in the family’s living situation. His two human siblings were sobbing so hard they could not speak. He is around 40 pounds and has some puppy energy left in him. He is dog-friendly and very submissive. He can be hesitant around men, but not fearful, and is kid-friendly!
Minie is a 3-year-old female, spayed and UTD on vaccines. She is very friendly and wants to cuddle in bed with you!
Please TEXT Rebecca at 254-317-6132 or email rebecca@operationpetsalive.org if you can foster. Unsure? Learn more about fostering with OPA by clicking here.
February’s Adoption Highlight: Venus
Venus ended up at a local shelter with a severely broken jaw and in severe pain. With the support of the community, OPA was able to fund her surgery in November and she is now healed! During her recovery she was on a special diet as she couldn’t move her jaw much to chew due to the wires holding everything together.
A final update on Venus: She’s been adopted!
If you’d like to help more animals like Venus, please consider donating to Operation Pets Alive via our website:
