Helping the Homeless Pets of Hurricane Harvey

Helping the Homeless Pets of Hurricane Harvey

“The Greatest Need Follows the Storm.”

Exciting News! Now, through the end of September, your #Harvey donations will go twice as far thanks to a generous grant from the Petco Foundation! In the weeks since Hurricane Harvey devastated our area with winds and flooding, our focus at OPA has been on rescuing pets already in local shelters prior to Harvey, and those surrendered by owners since, to make room for the many homeless pets in temporary shelters that will never find their way home.

Through ground transport and flight, we have already transferred over 130 homeless pets to partnering rescues and shelters in the Northeast, and as far as California. In addition, through local adoption, we continue each week to find found loving homes for dozens of dogs and cats in our care.

As we rebuild our lives, the greatest need is yet to come, and we need your help! The Petco Foundation has partnered with us to jump-start our recovery process. They have offered to match all donations up $15,000, which means that your donation doubles to help with our lifesaving efforts! Please consider making a donation today at: www.operationpetsalive.org

We continue to pray for all of you that were affected by Hurricane Harvey. We thank you for supporting us through the storm, and we look forward to your partnership through our recovery efforts!
