PRESS RELEASE

Operation Pets Alive has dogs, cats, puppies and kittens for adoption at the 2012 Houston Summer Boat Show

HOUSTON, TX:  Looking for the perfect “dock dog,” or a ship’s cat?   Just visit the Operation Pets Alive Pet Adoption Booth on Saturday, June 23, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Houston Summer Boat Show at the Reliant Center.

Operation Pets Alive (OPA) will have volunteers on-hand to introduce Boat Show attendees to a selection of animals ready to “live the dream” with a new family.

Perhaps the next champion “dock dog” is among the adoptable animals that will be at the OPA booth, but no matter what, love and loyalty are guaranteed.  The animals on hand have been intercepted on their way into a local shelter or rescued from a shelter by Operation Pets Alive.  Now in foster homes, they are up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and spayed/neutered.  An adoption application and fee applies for dogs cats, puppies and kittens.

Be sure to stop by and meet the pets—your next first mate may be ready to sign on to your crew!

Operation Pets Alive (OPA) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 all-volunteer animal welfare organization based in Montgomery County, TX.  OPA is working to reduce shelter intake and increase live release of animals through their flagship programs:  Targeted spay-and-neuter for large dogs; transports of long-term Shelter dogs to organizations in Northern states via the P.E.T.S. truck or by Cloud Nine’s small plane for Flight for Life; Foster/Adoption programs, and Trap-Neuter-Return for feral cats.  You can help by volunteering as a foster or by sponsoring a dog’s transport. For approximately, $250, you can change the life of a long-term shelter dog forever.
