Gratitude from all of us at Operation Pets Alive

As we come to the end of 2021, all of us at Operation Pets Alive are filled with gratitude for the support we have received to help dogs and cats in Montgomery County. We’ve seen dogs and cats go from serious injuries/illness to living their best life in their forever homes. Our mission is to reduce the number of dogs and cats entering the shelter and increase the number of dogs and cats leaving shelters alive. The reality of our work is that we help create smiles! The smiles on the faces of our adopters and volunteers show the joy of taking care of our community dogs and cats!

In 2021 OPA:

  • Found adoptive homes for over 800 dogs and cats
  • Spent $300,000+ on medical care for ill/injured dogs and cats
  • Transported 120 dogs and 15 cats to new homes with our out-of-state partners
  • Provided vet care to 710 dogs and 500 cats
  • Trap/Neuter/Return of over 606 cats

To get there, it took all of us working together to rescue the dogs and cats and then networking to find their forever home.

As 2021 draws to a close, please consider donating to Operation Pets Alive so we can continue creating smiles in 2022!
