OPA Teams up with Petco to Recruit Fosters

OPA Teams up with Petco to Recruit Fosters

Did you know that if less than 2% of pet-owning households in the U.S. fostered one pet a year, we could eliminate unnecessary euthanasia of dogs and cats in our country’s shelters tomorrow?

#BeALifesaver this summer ~ learn more about fostering and find an opportunity that is right for you! Join Operation Pets Alive, the Petco Foundation, and BOBS from Skechers to learn how you can be a foster and help save animals lives in your community.

Drop by and visit with us, Saturday, June 29th, from 1:30-3:30 at any one of the following area Petco Stores:

• Petco Kuykendahl ~ 10864 Kuykendahl Rd, The Woodlands TX

• Petco Sawdust ~ 522 Sawdust Rd, Spring TX

• Petco Cypresswood ~ 19507 I-45 North, Spring TX

• Petco Spring Klein ~ 2138 Kuykendahl Rd (near 99), Spring TX

We will also be honoring an OPA Foster Mentor, and a first-time OPA Volunteer Foster at the Petco Kuykendahl (The Woodlands) location. Each individual has been chosen to receive a pair of BOBS from Skechers and more! Our first time new OPA Foster will also receive a $200 Petco Shopping Spree. In addition, the first four foster volunteers that sign up at each of the above locations, will receive a free Litter Genie® Pail!

Simply put, fostering saves lives. As an all-volunteer-run animal rescue, without a physical facility, we depend on loving foster families to care for our kitties and pups. Last year we were able to rescue over 2,500 homeless pets from local shelters and in the community, all thanks to foster families. But we need your help to keep saving these precious lives!

When you foster for Operation Pets Alive, you will not be alone. Whether you choose to foster a dog short-term for transport, a dog or cat for local adoption, a litter of young pups or kittens, or a mamma with a little family ~ you join a family of dedicated fosters, willing to walk you through every step. Please stop by, talk to our volunteer fosters, and find out how you can be a part of making Montgomery County a #NoKillCommunity.

If you can’t make the event, OPA welcomes all new fosters now! Our shelters have been overwhelmed with animal intakes this summer. As part of our OPA Foster Family, you join us in saving lives.

Just drop us an email, and let us know what type of pet(s) would be a good fit:
